What I do.

I do three kinds of project, and one ongoing service. The boundaries below are firm, and they are the reason my prices are predictable.

Refresh

Most people start here

Your site stays. Its problems do not.

A refresh improves how an existing website looks and works. The platform stays the same. The page structure stays the same. The web addresses stay the same.

Timeline Two to three weeks.
Price $1,500 one time

A refresh includes
A review of the current site I list what is wrong and what I will change.
Visual update Layout, type, spacing, color, and images.
Mobile layout Most of your customers arrive on a phone. This is usually the largest single improvement.
Speed work Compressed images and removed dead weight.
Correct information Hours, address, phone number, staff, and services.
Repairs Broken links, broken images, and contact forms that no longer deliver.
Clear calls to action A visitor must know how to call you or book you.
A refresh does not include

New pages.

A new page structure or new navigation.

A move to a different platform.

Rewritten copy across the whole site. I correct the words. I do not start again.

If your site needs those things, you need a rebuild. I will tell you which one you need before you pay for either.

Rebuild

$3,000 one time

A new site on the same business.

A rebuild replaces the foundation. It is the correct choice when the current site cannot be repaired, cannot be edited, or is built on software that is no longer safe to run.

A rebuild includes

A discovery call.

A new site map We agree on the pages before I design anything.
Custom design I do not use a template. Your site does not look like your competitor's site.
New written copy I draft the words. You correct them.
Redirects from every old web address to the new one This protects your position in search results.

A contact form that sends to your email inbox.

Search setup Page titles, descriptions, and a Google Business Profile listing.
Domain and hosting setup The accounts are in your name.

One round of revisions after you review the draft site.

Timeline Four to five weeks.

From scratch

$3,500 one time

A first website.

This is a rebuild for a business that has no site to rebuild. The work is the same, with one difference: there is no existing content, so I write all of it from what you tell me.

Everything in a rebuild, plus See the rebuild list →
A longer discovery call I need to learn the business before I can describe it.

Full copywriting from zero.

Business listing setup So that people who search for you find you.

Ongoing · Upkeep · $129 a month

A website that stays correct.

Upkeep is a monthly service. It is the reason I do this work.

Upkeep includes
Uptime monitoring I know the site is down before you do.

Weekly backups.

Security and software updates.

Up to four content changes each month You email me the change. I make it.
A form test each month I confirm that your contact form still delivers.

Broken link and image checks.

A short monthly note It tells you what changed.
Upkeep does not include
Emergency or after-hours work. See response times below.
New pages or new features. Those are quoted separately.

You do not sign a long contract. You can cancel at the end of any month.

Response times

What you can hold me to.

I state these plainly, because a promise I cannot keep helps nobody.

I do not offer same-day work. I do not offer an on-call number.

Email I answer within two business days, usually sooner.
Upkeep content changes Complete within three business days.
A site that is down I am alerted automatically and I respond as soon as I can.

What I do not do.

I tell you this before you ask, so that you do not waste your time.

I do not build large online stores. A small product catalog is possible. A 500-product store is not.
I do not manage paid advertising campaigns.
I do not do social media management.
I do not offer emergency or after-hours support.
I do not take rescue work on sites built with tools I cannot maintain safely. If a rebuild costs less than a repair, I will tell you.
Capacity

Two projects a month.

When those are full, I say so and give you the next available date. I do not take work I cannot finish.

This month

I take on two projects a month.

One slot is open in September, and two the month after.

When I'm full I say so, rather than starting late.

Tell me which one you think you need.

Send me the address and one sentence about what bothers you. I'll reply with which of these it is and what I'd do first — even if the answer is the cheaper one.
